This blog is a place for the letters that Corporal Max Blazzard wrote home to his family during his service in WWII, and a few that they wrote to him.

December 2, 1944

France

December 2, 1944
Dear Mother & all,

I’m on guard now and will just write a note. I’ve got to try to get a letter off to Aunt Lillie in this mail thanking her for the camera and the candy she sent. Say does she want me to hang on to the camera and give it back to her? If so, I’ll be extra careful with it.

Mama, I’m going to be pretty busy and won’t be able to write for four or five days so don’t worry about it.

I’ve got some pictures to send you in a few days – of a place or two. Wish I had those films for my camera.

You can’t get any Christmas cards or I couldn’t. I’ll close for this time there isn’t anything else to write.
Love to all,
Your son,
Max
